Bad Blogger ... Sick Blogger

What the heck happened to September? For that matter, what happened to October? How did it get to be the last week of the month already? I haven't even put my Halloween decorations out. I guess there isn't much point now.

I've been one sick blogger. I feel like we should have this sign on our front door.
I have been down with swine flu for 7 days now. Today is the first day that I put real clothes on. Was so stir crazy this morning that I took the munchkin out for breakfast and then for a walk to get some fresh air. Yeah, not sure what I was thinking. Took a 4 hour nap after getting home. UGH. I'm going to work this week hopefully, but from home. I don't want people freaking out with me and my horrible cough. The husband and small child seem to have bypassed the horrible flu this time. Hubby and I spent the week on Tamiflu fighting the viral symptoms. The small one doesn't even seem to be phased by it even though she spent the entire weekend with 2 kids that came down with a good does of swine flu on Tuesday. Guess maybe she is our Typhoid Mary.

We are already seeing shortages on the regular flu shots here in Kansas. The H1N1 isn't even available. It's going to be a rough winter. I need to call the doctor and find out if I need to get vaccinated. My guess would be no, but I couldn't even formulate sane thoughts when I was in her office last week. Before the flu overtook me, I snapped some pictures of the small one playing in the leaves in front of our house. Oh to be a kid again!
Had to share a quilt that I finished up for a friend. She asked me to make a quilt fit for a Princess. I used a panel for the middle of the quilt. Added some borders and then made sure to get some embroidery on it as well.

My last picture is of the dog. Buddy has a girl friend that lives next door. Her name is Madison. He gets so excited when he hears her outside. It's wrestle mania when they get together. Finally they settle down and just follow each other around the yard. I don't know why but it always makes me think of my friend from kindergarten, we were inseparable. When ever Cathy came out I had to be right there and vice versa. Oh well.

Well, I think I'm about ready for bed again. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of doing some quilts so I have something to share.

Have a great week.

Yuk -- sounds like an awful flu! I'm so glad you are at least starting to feel better, and I'm especially glad your little one didn't get it. Hang in there!

I am glad you are starting to feel better. Did I misunderstand or did you say you took your small child out for breakfast? I do not mean to be cruel but I work in a restaurant and the message needs to get out there to people to stay away when they are sick. Seriously.

Dear Anonymous,
Yes, I did say I took my daughter to breakfast. I had passed the contagious part of the flu (no fever and quarentined for a week), so I was safe to go out in public. It's crazy people that don't feel well that think it's quite alright to go out and end up infecting the rest of us.

Thanks for your concern.
