Can someone tell me where the month of February has gone? It doesn't seem possible that it's the last week of the month already. 28 days until Spring though. I'm so ready for some warm weather.
I've been busy, but not much to show. The embroidery has been keeping me busy. I've been working on bags and some odds and end things. Nothing really worth taking pictures of.
I did manage to get some quilts quilted this month and the bindings on them. Just need to do the hand sewing now. There's probably about 6 projects that are 1/2 started that I'm hoping to finish by mid-March.
My blogging goal for 2009 was to finish a quilt completely before sharing. Hmmm, I'm starting to think that I enjoy the piecing more than the quilting and I might never show anything again.... Guess I better rethink my idea.
Have a great week and happy sewing.

Silence Broken
Greetings from the House of Strep and Ear Infections. It's not the best place to visit - lots of coughing, whining and just down right crankiness.
Let me just say I can't wait for spring. To be able to open up the house and air the place out...it will be wonderful. I was home for 3 days and didn't even make it near a sewing machine. Today Grace went to the Minute Clinic for an assessment. Hopefully she will start feeling better by tomorrow.
I did make it to the girl cave last night and got a baby quilt quilted. I had a glass of wine before I started, which amazingly enough, helped me to loosen up. I did things that I wouldn't normally do. Not perfect by any means, but it looks good and it was fun. That's all the matters.
Buddy had to help while I was trying to take pictures. He thought he would make the quilt look nicer.
I love the cats. Completely 70's.
I found the pattern in one of the many magazines I buy. For the life of me now, I can't remember which one. The idea was to take a busy panel, add borders, and WA-LA you have a baby quilt.
I've been working with the embroidery machine too. I made a bunch of book marks. I still need to remove the stabilizer. I'm working on a project now, but will wait to share my pictures until I'm done.
I'm hoping to do a bit more quilting today, but who knows. A nap is definitely in order. I hear snoring from the living room, so I think someone has definitely beat me to the couch. The bed will work too.
Oh, I must share a sneak peek of Buddy's pictures. Brandi asked if she could take pictures of him. I hesitated because I'm bad about making fun of people that get pictures taken of their animals. I know, I shouldn't because it will come back to bite me, like now. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures.
Have a great day!

Love Hate
I always vowed not be like my parents. That's a vow we all take at some point. Well today I feel like I'm being my Dad. My dad is not hip on technology. He tries, but it's far more frustrating for him than he thinks it should be. I sometimes wonder if that's why I have this love hate relationship with technology. For a while I did great and picked up on things rather quickly. Seems like lately it takes me a bit to grasp onto things. I eventually get it, but sometimes it's slow and painful.
So for me, getting my Etsy shop set up was slow and sort of painful, while not anything that was going to send me over the edge. Understanding Paypal has been a challenge for me. I don't know why but it just has. I'm starting to figure it out though.
Facebook is another thing that I've been slow to figure out. I'm still working on it, but since I don't visit it often, I'm starting to think it's going to take me forever to figure it all out. I do know that I can find out about 25 year high school reunions via Facebook. :-) (let the exercising begin)
OK, so the reason for my title. Online banking. LOVE it. It's the greatest thing next to sliced bread for me. I picked that up and have adapted quite nicely, well until today. I went online this morning to make sure my paycheck hit my account. Low and behold, someone had a wing ding of a time taking money out of my account via Paypal. I know that it will all get worked out between Paypal and the Bank. The sad thing is I'm out the money until everyone is in agreement that I don't have the said items I didn't purchase.
The moral to my little story, don't connect your checking account to Paypal. At least I'm finding it's not a good thing for ME. Or if you do use a checking account, make sure that's all you use it for - Internet shopping. My opinion of connecting Paypal to a credit card has definitely changed. The credit card isn't quite as painful when it gets hit by the Happy Irresponsible Shopper (not me) who wants stuff but someone else to pay for it.
Oh well. We all have to learn these little life lessons, right? I'm not going to let this dampen my day. It's supposed to be 71 today. 71 wonderfully awesome degrees. I'm going out at lunch, just to get out and enjoy the weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice too.
I've started a new quilting project. I hope to show some pictures of it tonight or tomorrow.
In the meantime, have a great weekend!

Funny for the Day that I MUST Share
Ok, so this job gets in the way of my TV watching. If it didn't, I know I would be watching Ellen because she cracks me up!!!
Here are 2 clips that had me close to wetting my pants (OK not really, but they are DARN funny). Everyone needs a grandma like Gladys. Life would be so much more interesting.
