Did You Miss Me?

Rhetorical question, really don't answer that.

1 1/2 weeks of kindergarten under the belt. I think it's more of an adjustment for me than it is for Grace. I can't seem to get my routine down in the morning. Guess maybe I should try to do some more at night instead of waiting until the morning. Oh well.
Have to share a couple pictures.
Carrie Nelson, of Miss Rosie fame, came to guild last night. That woman is hysterical. The stories were a riot and the quilts were BEAUTIFUL. The bad thing for me is I always leave inspired and wanted to spend the entire night sewing. Unfortunately I didn't get home until 10 PM, so sewing was out of the question. Oh well.
Here are a few pictures from last nights meeting.

I'm happy to report that Grandma is out of ICU and now at Overland Park Regional in their specialty wing. We went for a quick visit tonight and I couldn't believe the change from Sunday. Definitely feeling better. That had her up and sitting on the edge of her bed doing exercises today. God does work in mysterious ways, especially considering where Grandma was a couple weeks back.

I will be sure to share some of my project pictures this week. I have been able to find a little more time to sew.

Also, I started another blog for the embroidery. I'm hoping to use it to give ideas to people to boost my embroidery. When you get bored, check it out. www.sunflowercre8tions.blogspot.com

Break

I'm sure everyone has stopped reading this blog by now because I've become the flaky poster. Anyhow, life seems to have taken over and quilting has taken the backseat. I'm going to taking a break until Grandma is out of the hospital or at the very least ICU. School starts Monday and I'm not sure I'm so prepared for the fact I have a kindergartner.

Take Care and check back every now and again.

Artfire

I just added a new gadget to the side of my blog showing my Artfire Studio.

Originally I had a shop set up through Etsy. I'm trying Artfire now and really like their layout. I also like the lack of fees.

Quilty Content, Can You Believe It????

Rhythm & blues fabric line
Short Stack Pattern

Free Spirit Fabric Line
So not something I would normally pick. I picked this up as a charm pack and then added the border.

Needed some stress relief this weekend. Grandma is still in ICU and had to have the ventilator put back in today. I've been taking a baby quilt with me and doing hand sewing while we go 2 by 2 or 3 x 3 to visit her.

I also bought a new camera this weekend. I got a Nikon CoolPics L100. Liking it so far. Just wish I could figure out all of the settings. The manual is a little overwhelming.

Have a great night.
