Small World

Well it's Saturday and I begged and pleaded with the munchkin to sleep in this morning. I'm pleased to say SHE DID. I don't know if it happened because of the storms we had last night (lots of booms and cracks) which made her run to our bed or not. Suffice it to say, I got sleep until 10AM. I don't know when the last time that happened. So when Grace announced that she would like to go out for breakfast, I was happy to oblige. We went to Mimi's, which was rather surprisingly good.

After that we made a run to Louisburg to hit Needle Nest. The normal ladies weren't there, but had 2 replacements filling in. The one lady looked very familiar to me so we started chatting - where do you live, do you belong to a guild, all the usual questions. Surprise surprise, it was Sharon from QuiltGranny Shoes. It's funny to me how small this HUGE world really is.

I couldn't contain myself while at Needle Nest and had to purchase a layer cake. I think the end of my garage sale profits finally burnt through my wallet.

While the normal ladies weren't there, the a-b-normal ladies were, and we had quite the time with Becky and Grace. Don't let her fool you - she bought icing too, not just the layer cake LOL! Nice to see a face behind the virtual space, and nice to actually meet someone who noticed I hadn't been blogging lately! See you again!

That is the coolest thing! It is a small world. Sleeping in until 10....wow! Now that's a good thing for a long weekend!
